James L. Horrar - President & CEO

As president and CEO of QHR, Jim Horrar develops and pursues growth and retention strategies while managing the overall operations and resources of the company. He has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Most recently, Jim served as vice president for Humana Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky, where he led a team of more than 200 associates responsible for purchasing $12 billion in healthcare for 5.5 million members in 29 states. He has extensive experience in network, medical management, finance, compliance and contract administration.

Rosemary M. Guffy - Chief Financial Officer

Rosemary Guffy is responsible for all corporate accounting and financial reporting for QHR and all QHR subsidiary companies. She also oversees the company’s IT and Office Services departments. In previous positions within QHR, she served as controller of QHR and as the CFO of one of QHR’s managed facilities. Rosemary is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants and Healthcare Financial Management Association.

 

Robert A. Vento - Senior Vice President, Operations

Bob Vento is responsible for management operations and consulting service delivery for QHR. In addition, he oversees the AHFD business unit. Prior to this position, Bob served as president of the QHR Management Division. Bob brings more than 30 years of progressive healthcare experience, from nurse to administrator to chief operating officer, understanding and meeting client needs, creating new business opportunities and developing successful management teams.

 

Timothy J. Ryan - Senior Vice President, Consulting

Timothy Ryan, senior vice president, Operational Metrics, is responsible for implementing and tracking operational metrics throughout QHR. In this role, he focuses management attention on measurable results for decision making. Tim is a Certified Public Accountant who brings financial and organizational management, as well as sales and product distribution and pricing expertise to QHR.

 

 

Herrick A. Drake, JR - Senior Vice President, Business Development

Rick Drake has more than 30 years’ experience and expertise in business development and sales. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of new-client business development, including building, training and maintaining a world-class sales team. Rick is also charged with developing strategies that will successfully broaden QHR’s client base – allowing the company to expand into new markets and hospital sectors.

 

Linda K. Parsons - Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Senior Vice President of Human Resources Linda Parsons is a veteran of the healthcare industry with more than 20 years of experience. Previously, she oversaw the Human Resources department at Community Health Systems, where she is credited with building the department from the ground up – having authored all of the company’s HR policies, procedures, handbooks and benefit communications, as well as managing all of its health/welfare and retirement plans.

 

Susan S. Hassell - Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications

Susan Hassell leads QHR’s strategic marketing efforts, oversees internal corporate communications and is QHR’s corporate spokesperson. She manages QHR’s brand and supports the business development process with innovate lead generation strategies. Susan also provides marketing and public relations support to the company’s client hospitals. She has more than 20 years of marketing, strategic planning and public relations experience with QHR, and another decade of experience marketing national brands.

Daniel E. McKay - Vice President, Eastern Operations

QHR Vice President of Eastern Operations Dan McKay has more than 18 years of hospital management experience. His expertise in this area has been celebrated with two CEO of The Year awards from Community Health Systems – one for his work at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, South Carolina, and the other for his work at Moberly Regional Medical Center in Moberly, Missouri. Dan oversees the operations and development of QHR’s hospital management and consulting contracts, East Division, which includes approximately 70 hospitals in more than 20 states.

William Donatelli - Vice President, Western Operations

As vice president of QHR’s Western Operations, Bill Donatelli oversees the operations and development of approximately 80 client hospitals in 27 states in the western United States. He works closely with the Board of Trustees and senior management team at each hospital in strategic planning, medical staff relations and operations. In addition to overseeing QHR’s Western Operations, Bill also serves on the faculty of QHR’s Learning Institute. For more than 20 years, he has served QHR as hospital CEO, regional vice president and practice leader for CEO Recruitment and Development.

Joan E. Signorille - Vice President, Material Resource Group

QHR Vice President Joan Signorille is charged with managing QHR’s Material Resource Group, which oversees vendor contracts, identifies new opportunities, and provides education, guidance and assistance to QHR hospital clients in the management of their supply and services expenses. She is also responsible for the development of new supply chain products and services.

 

 

D. Robert Wiemer - Vice President, QHR Learning Institute

Bob Wiemer provides strategic guidance for and manages the day-to-day operations of the QHR Learning Institute. He has spent more than 13 years in increasingly responsible positions in the healthcare industry, including more than nine years in healthcare education. Bob’s principal focus is on developing new initiatives that will advance the Learning Institute’s market position and expand its role in healthcare education.

 

J. Exley Hill - President, American Health Facilities Development (AHFD)

Exley brings 30 years of healthcare planning and project management experience to his position with AHFD. He has personally directed the design and construction of more than 125 hospital projects ranging in value from $350,000 to $185,000,000. Exley’s leadership and experience encompass all facets of hospital planning and project management; i.e. facility master planning, site selection / analysis, budgeting, design, risk management, value engineering, scheduling, construction and occupancy planning.
