Vice President, Project Management Office
Shannon Williams is the leader of the Quorum Project Management Office. He has worked with the consultants to create many of the methodologies used in project management for the entire organization.
His team gets engaged in any project that spans multiple consulting practices, or multiple hospital departments. He is also asked to help organizations setup project governance and structure in their organization, often teaches project management concepts to various types of organizations and lectures on project management as well.
Shannon has worked on large projects with most major healthcare IT (HIT) vendors. He has installed hospital and clinic billing and electronic health record systems, lab, radiology, pharmacy, accounting and decision support systems. He has been engaged in many hospital construction projects; from renovation to complete replacement facilities. In addition to his consulting experience, Shannon has held the position of CIO of a multi-hospital enterprise, COO of an EMR startup, CEO of his own IT services business and IT Director of another multi-hospital enterprise. He often performs IT assessments to various size organizations and leads QHR’s HIPAA IT Security Assessments. He is considered an industry expert on HIPAA IT Security.
