Director of Supply Chain Operations, Quorum Purchasing Advantage
A seasoned healthcare executive with extensive experience in materials management, group purchasing administration, multi-hospital supply chain management, just-in time and stockless inventory systems, and major capital equipment acquisition.
Throughout his 43-year career, including nearly 23 years with Quorum Purchasing Advantage (QPA), he has helped hospitals and health systems of varying sizes minimize their supply expense, maximize their group purchasing contracts, and streamline their operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Prior to joining QPA, Tom served as director of Material Management at the University of Chicago. In this position, he was credited with leading hospital-wide supply expense reduction; storeroom and surgery inventory reduction; implementation of material management information systems; capital equipment contract negotiations; and an off-site warehouse set-up and utilization. Tom also previously served as assistant administrator at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois, where he directed the selection and installation of all capital equipment for a new $45 million surgery pavilion, and served as liaison between the architect, designer, general contractor and end-users for all purchased equipment.
