Bob Berra has over 30 years of experience directing and managing strategic marketing and business development activities for health services and health technology companies. He has been at the forefront of leading many industry disruptive initiatives throughout his career. Bob began his career in the HMO movement working with the pioneering Southern California based health plan, Health Net. His experience includes directing marketing and communication activities for market leading health plans such as, Aetna, BCBS of Alabama, BCBS of Arkansas, Humana, Cigna, UnitedHealth Group, WellPoint (Anthem). He has also served leading regional and national provider organizations, including Carondelet; Centinela Hospital and Medical Center (Los Angeles); Facey Medical Group (Los Angeles); HCA (Nashville); Hospital of the Good Samaritan (Los Angeles); Tenet; St. Peter’s Hospital and Health System (Helena, MT); Phoenix Children’s Hospital; and Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
As a founding partner of the industry leading marketing firm, FischerHealth (acquired by Omnicom), and serving as its Chief Account Officer for 14 years, Bob directed FischerHealth’s Health Services, Health Technology and Medical Devices and Diagnostics practices. Through its history, the firm was often recognized for its outstanding strategic and creative work and earned both the coveted Healthcare Agency of the Year and Creative Agency of the Year awards.
