Many compliance officers have experienced additional responsibility during the COVID-19 epidemic, causing many hospitals to place the compliance program on the back burner. Policy and procedure adherence, auditing and monitoring may have relaxed for hospital departments facing an overwhelming number of patients and minimal resources. Strict terms and conditions of the CARES Act money distribution warrant the hospital must exhibit a well-structured and effective compliance program. This course will be a refresher to assist attendees in getting their compliance program back on track with a solid foundation.
