Learn about the Medicare Annual Proposed Outpatient Prospective Payment System rule and other reimbursement developments that will take effect on January 1, 2023.

The CMS annually proposes, and then finalizes, new payment rules for the Medicare Outpatient Prospective Payment System. Join QHR Health’s John Waltko, Vice President of Financial and Regulatory Reporting, as he explains and discusses the implications of these proposed changes that affect hospital reimbursements for outpatient services from the Medicare program.
This webinar will cover the Medicare program’s annual Proposed Outpatient Prospective Payment System update and other proposals that effect outpatient reimbursements, cost reporting issues and COVID-19 issues addressed by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) within the proposed rule.

  • Learn about new and or revised payments for pass through devises, revised 340B drug payment policy, deletions from inpatient only list, additions to the ASC covered procedures list, services now requiring prior approval, expansion of Pass-through payments for drugs, biologicals and devises and other reimbursement updates within the Medicare Outpatient Prospective Payment System
  • Review expansions of Behavioral Health services from hospital settings to patients at home via telecommunication technology
  • Have the opportunity to provide feedback as CMS is requesting comments on how to reimburse hospitals that are using algorithm driven clinical decision support systems
