Medicare provides additional reimbursement if acute care hospitals obtain Sole Community Hospital (SCH) or Medicare Dependent Hospital (MDH) designations. Reimbursement increases with these designations can be significant, allowing for improved hospital financial performance. Medicare also provides further reimbursement if a SCH or MDH experiences a decrease in inpatient volumes.

This webinar will discuss regulatory requirements to obtain a SCH or MDH designation, as well as ongoing qualification requirements. Attendees will learn about reimbursement improvements qualifying hospitals receive, cost reporting requirements, and criteria for the Decrease in Patient Volumes.
