Medicare program reimbursement and payment regulations are continuously evolving. Every year the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) proposes and then finalizes new payment rules for the Medicare Outpatient Prospective Payment System. Join QHR’s John Waltko, Vice President of Financial and Regulatory Reporting, as he explains and discusses the implications of these final reimbursement changes that affect hospital reimbursements from the Medicare program as well as compliance issues.

This 2-part webinar series will cover:

  • The Medicare program’s annual Proposed Outpatient Prospective Payment System update
  • Other select reimbursement and payment changes resulting from CMS policy directives will be highlighted, including:
    • Federal legislation
    • Landmark court decisions
    • Changes in policy by the CMS that affect Medicare program outpatient reimbursements
  • If finalized, the CMS provider-based shared space definition and how it affects provider-based clinics and departments of hospitals
