QHR Health: Education is Key to Contending with 2023 Challenges

QHR Health Learning Institute Prioritizes Reimbursement Courses

Brentwood, TN – The immense hospital challenges in 2022 – increasing expenses for labor, supply, purchased services, drugs and more, plus decreasing inpatient volumes, utilization of revenue resources and reimbursement – are expected to continue throughout 2023. That’s why one of the highest priorities of QHR Health’s education arm, the QHR Health Learning Institute, is reimbursement courses. Popular offerings are the:

  • Critical Access Hospital Reimbursement & Medicare Cost Reporting Boot Camp, which is designed to provide CAH finance leaders with a fundamental understanding of the Medicare program’s cost-based reimbursement system, the Medicare cost reporting forms and cost reporting strategies to ensure an accurate and complete Medicare cost report.
  • The Reimbursement and Regulatory Update series with topics such as the Outpatient Prospective Payment System annual rule and the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (RVRVSU) annual rule.

In 2022, the QHR Health Learning Institute (QLI) offered 70+ classroom events and webinars and educated more than 2,500 hospital leaders and boards of directors.

Leadership U is one of QLI’s elite offerings. Leadership U is a seven-month program to identify and strengthen the next generation of hospital leaders. The program strengthens leadership capabilities in new and potential CEO candidates, increases the talent pipeline of leaders in community healthcare, and improves staff retention and recruitment.

“One of the most important things QHR Health does is educate and train hospital leaders and boards of directors who are on the frontlines of helping their hospitals succeed,” said Dr. Dwayne Gunter, CEO, QHR Health.

Another premiere offering is QHR Health’s annual gathering of CEOs, boards of directors and hospital leaders, Leadership 2023, a three-day invitation-only event organized around the need to build relationships and network, learn tools and resources to contend with the myriad of challenges independent hospitals are facing, and gain insights to prepare for the future.
