Surgery Center of Florida Welcomes First Patients
ASC was developed and is managed by Velocity Surgical Management
WESLEY CHAPEL, FL – The Surgery Center of Florida, a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center in Wesley Chapel, welcomed its first patients this month. QHR Health subsidiary, Velocity Surgical Management, developed the center and is the management partner of the facility, which has two state-of-the-art operating rooms.
“Velocity is proud to help bring high-quality, cost-effective, outpatient care to Wesley Chapel, a growing suburb of the Tampa Bay area,” said Velocity Surgical Management President Scott Nation. “We are using our expertise in technology, clinical partnerships, physician support services and financial services to optimize the Surgery Center of Florida’s services.”
Velocity Surgical Management has an established track record of creating and managing new ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). In June, Velocity and its partners broke ground on the Colorado Outdoors Medical Center, a 50,000 sq ft outpatient medical center designed to provide affordable, convenient, high-quality healthcare services in Montrose, CO. Velocity also is the development partner for the Golson Project, an ambulatory surgery center and medical office building associated with Jackson Hospital in Marianna, FL.
