David has specialized in healthcare construction, project management and owners’ rep work for 12 over years. Beginning in 2008 David transitioned from a primary role in commercial real estate to focus specifically on healthcare projects. Along with a business partner and mentor, David started his own business and began working on TDH licensed facilities and other medical projects. Acting as an owners’ rep for the first time, David and his partner were engaged by a physician group of over 25 doctors trying to prevent the shutdown of a LTAC hospital housing 60 beds. This 60,000 square foot facility was entangled with controversy between the general contractor, architect, and the owners. David and his team were able to get the project back on track and completed on time and under budget. This experience laid the groundwork for the next 12 years and the successful completion of over 40 medical projects. David’s roles have ranged from design-builder, general contractor, project management, and owner representation. David’s partner retired in 2017, and David has continued to maintain the same passion for medical projects with continued successes.
David’s portfolio reflects a focus on projects similar to ASC’s Hospitals and other “heavy medical” assignments, while also being involved in helping to acquire real estate, developing and constructing clinic space, MOB, and some level of non-medical work. Ground up construction as well as finish out work are both project types with which he has experience. David also holds a Real Estate Broker’s License and occasionally is called upon by physicians to assist with site selection, facility acquisition and lease negotiation. David lives in Fort Worth, TX with his wife/high school sweetheart and their three daughters. He enjoys playing golf and supports his wife’s non-profit animal welfare foundation and rescue, “Saving Hope.” Their own 7 dogs make all this a formidable challenge.
